Tango Beginner Syllabus

Beginner classes are:

Monday         7:30 - 8:30 pm         Tuesday     8:00 - 9:00 pm

Wednesday    7:30 - 8:30pm          Thursday    8:00 - 9:00 pm

The Tango Conservatory of Los Angeles (TCLA)  offers a six week course for beginners.  Beginners can start any night that works with their schedule.  If you miss your regular night, you may come any one of the other three nights in that week and know you have not missed anything because all teachers teach the same thing the same week.

WEEK ONE - Baldosa (Box step).                                                    This lesson includes many of the basic tango techniques such as posture, foot position, clean lines, relaxed legs, frame and working with another person.  Look at you!  You're dancing tango!

WEEK TWO - Salida Basica (Basic Step                                      Leaders learn how to lead the CRUZADA (cross).  Followers learn how to recognize the cross lead.  Now you put the Baldsa & Salida Basic together.

WEEK THREE - Ochos (Figure Eights)
